What is maltitol syrup?
Maltitol is a disaccharide made by the hydrogenation of maltose obtained from starch. Maltitol syrup — a hydrogenated starch hydrolysate (HSH) — is likewise made by the hydrogenation of a mixture of carbohydrates hydrolyzed from starch. It is 50–80% maltitol by weight, with the remainder being predominantly sorbitol and a small number of other sugar-related substances.
Why choose our liquid maltitol?
Because its sweetness is high, maltitol can be used without being mixed with other sweeteners, and its sweetness profile is very similar to sucrose — making it a practical drop-in bulk sweetener for sugar-reduction and sugar-free formulations. It shows a negligible cooling effect compared with other sugar alcohols, so candies, gums and chocolates keep a clean, sucrose-like sweetness without a strong "cool" sensation. And because it behaves like sucrose, it can be used in syrups where crystallization is far less likely — a real advantage for liquid sweetener systems and bottled products.
Where it is used
Typical applications cover sugarless hard candies, chewing gum, chocolates, baked goods and ice cream, as well as syrups, where it also works as a humectant, texturizing agent and stabilizer. It is supplied as a clear, colourless syrup in bulk drums, IBC containers or flexible bags for industrial-scale production.

Application notes (text):
Maltitol's high sweetness allows it to be used without being mixed with other sweeteners, and it exhibits a negligible cooling effect (positive heat of solution) in comparison with other sugar alcohols, and is very similar to the subtle cooling effect of sucrose. It is used especially in the production of sweets: sugarless hard candies, chewing gum, chocolates, baked goods and ice cream. Its similarity to sucrose allows it to be used in syrups with the advantage that crystallization (which may cause bottle caps to stick) is less likely.

Q1. What is liquid maltitol syrup (HSH)? Maltitol syrup is a hydrogenated starch hydrolysate made by the hydrogenation of a mixture of carbohydrates hydrolyzed from starch. It is 50–80% maltitol by weight, with the remainder being predominantly sorbitol and small amounts of other sugar-related substances.
Q2. What grades of maltitol syrup can you supply?
