Sorbitol Solution 70% is a clear, colourless syrup with a faint, clean sweetness — nothing added, nothing coloured, just sorbitol at 70% in water, the same substance that appears on ingredient labels as E420 (or INS 420).
It is made by turning glucose into sorbitol, which is why it tastes sweet without being sugar. It is about 60% as sweet as table sugar, with a cool, smooth finish and no bitter tail — the reason it turns up in products where sugar would be too heavy, too sticky or too quick to brown.

Toothpaste and mouthwash. If you have ever opened a tube that had been sitting in a bathroom cabinet for a year and found the paste stiff and grainy at the nozzle, you have seen what happens when nothing holds the water in. Sorbitol holds the water inside the paste, so it stays smooth and squeezes cleanly to the last squeeze. It is not a sugar, so it does not feed the bacteria behind tooth decay.
Sugar-free candy and chewing gum. This is where sorbitol earns its place. Candy made with it stays soft and chewy instead of hardening into a glassy shard, and the surface does not turn white and gritty in the bag — the flaw that makes a "sugar-free" sweet taste stale before it is even opened. In gum it keeps the piece tender through months on a shelf.
Gummies and jelly sweets. Sweets keep their shine and their bounce. Because sorbitol stays dissolved instead of forming crystals, the texture stays glass-clear and springy rather than turning cloudy or tough.
Drinks, syrups and dressings. A little body and mouthfeel without the cloying weight of sugar syrup. It also keeps sauces and fillings from drying out at the surface.
Baked goods and fillings. Cakes, soft cookies and cream fillings stay moist for longer, and because sorbitol is not a reactive sugar, the bake comes out the colour you intended instead of darkening.
Skin cream and lotion. The same water-holding trick, applied to your skin: creams stay creamy in the jar and feel less tight on dry skin. It is a common base ingredient in moisturisers and cleansers.

Most syrups crystallise when they get cold — that is the gritty ring you find inside a honey jar. This grade is tested so that it forms no crystals at −18 °C over 48 hours. It can travel through a cold winter, sit in an unheated warehouse and still pour out smooth, with no sugar grains to seed into your batch.

Buying powder and dissolving it on site means a mixing tank, hot water, time and a cloud of fine dust in the plant. This arrives ready to pump, ready to weigh straight into the batch, and it leaves no undissolved grains behind. One less step, one less thing to get wrong.
Factory direct from our own line, so the specification you approve is the specification that ships.
