Sorbitol Solution 70% (Toothpaste Grade) is a clear, colourless, syrupy liquid - an aqueous solution of D-sorbitol, a sugar alcohol (polyol) obtained by the catalytic hydrogenation of glucose. Supplied as a cosmetic / personal care grade for oral-care applications, it is a widely used humectant and sweetener in toothpaste and mouthwash: it helps the formulation retain moisture and stay smooth instead of drying out during storage and use, while providing a mild, clean, non-cariogenic sweetness. Its liquid form blends readily into aqueous formulations and removes the dissolution step required by solid sorbitol grades.

Sorbitol Solution 70% (Toothpaste Grade) is used as a humectant and sweetener in:
• Toothpaste - humectant for moisture retention and paste texture, plus a non-cariogenic sweetener.
• Mouthwash & oral care - humectant and sweetener.
• Personal care & cosmetics - moisturising humectant and body / texture control.
Each batch is manufactured under controlled hydrogenation and purification and released against a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Routine controls include dry substance, D-sorbitol content, D-mannitol, reducing and total sugars, pH, refractive index, specific gravity, moisture, colour / appearance, resistivity, sulphated ash, chlorides, sulphate, and trace metals (nickel, iron, heavy metals, arsenic). A COA is issued with every shipment.
