Sorbitol Solution 70% is a clear, colourless syrupy liquid supplied as a 70% aqueous solution of sorbitol, a polyol (sugar alcohol) used as a bulk sweetener in numerous food products. Sorbitol is about 60% as sweet as sucrose with one-third fewer calories, and it has a smooth mouthfeel with a sweet, cool and pleasant taste.
Being a liquid, it is easy to pump, meter and blend, which makes it convenient for beverage, confectionery, pharmaceutical and personal-care manufacturing where a free-flowing sweetener or humectant is preferred over a powder.
