Sorbitol Solution 70% — also called liquid sorbitol or sorbitol syrup — is a clear, colourless, syrupy polyol (sugar alcohol) supplied at a minimum 70% dry substance. It is a bulk sweetener used across the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
Sorbitol is about 60% as sweet as sucrose with roughly one-third fewer calories, and delivers a smooth mouthfeel with a sweet, cool and pleasant taste. In liquid form it is easy to dose and blend, making it a convenient sugar-free, low-calorie sweetener and humectant for formulations where moisture retention and clean taste matter.
