Sorbitol Powder (Cosmetic Grade) is a white, crystalline, free-flowing powder - the solid form of D-sorbitol, a sugar alcohol (polyol) obtained by the catalytic hydrogenation of glucose and crystallised to a high-purity powder. Supplied as a cosmetic / personal care grade, it is a widely used humectant and sweetener in toothpaste, oral care and personal care formulations: it helps the formulation retain moisture and stay smooth, improves texture and body, and provides a mild, clean, non-cariogenic sweetness. As a free-flowing powder it is easy to dose and blend into dry and semi-dry formulations, and it dissolves readily in water.

Sorbitol Powder (Cosmetic Grade) is used as a humectant and sweetener in:
• Toothpaste - humectant for moisture retention and paste texture, plus a non-cariogenic sweetener.
• Mouthwash & oral care - humectant and sweetener.
• Personal care & cosmetics - moisturising humectant, bulking and texture control.
Each batch is manufactured under controlled hydrogenation, purification and crystallisation and released against a Certificate of Analysis (COA). Routine controls include assay, moisture, total and reducing sugars, density, specific rotation, pH, residue on ignition, chlorides, sulphates, trace metals (heavy metals, nickel, lead, arsenic), particle-size distribution, and microbiological limits (total plate count, moulds and yeasts, E. coli). A COA is issued with every shipment.
