Sorbitol Powder Food Grade E420 USP BP Sugar Alcohol Sweetener Humectant for Confectionery Beverage Toothpaste 25kg Bag
Food Grade Sorbitol Powder BP USP E420 Bulk Sweetener Humectant for Bakery Ice Cream Oral Care 25kg Kraft Bag
Sorbitol Powder D-Glucitol CAS 50-70-4 Non-Caking Humectant for Sugar-Free Candy Beverage Pharmaceutical Excipient
Sorbitol Powder, also known as D-Glucitol, is a white crystalline polyol (sugar alcohol) produced by the catalytic hydrogenation of glucose. It is a free-flowing, non-caking powder supplied in food grade and manufactured to comply with the BP, USP and EP monographs as well as FCC requirements, so a single material can serve food, oral care and pharmaceutical excipient formulations without switching suppliers.
As a bulk sweetener, sorbitol delivers roughly 60% of the sweetness of sucrose with about one-third fewer calories, together with a smooth mouthfeel and a cool, clean taste that does not mask the flavour of the finished product. As a humectant, it holds moisture in the matrix, which keeps baked goods and confectionery soft through shelf life and prevents sugar crystallisation in chewy candy, gum and glazes. It is non-cariogenic, which is why it is a standard component of sugar-free oral care products, and it is suitable for sugar-free and reduced-sugar formulations across confectionery, beverage, dairy and bakery applications.
The material is affirmed as GRAS in the United States and permitted as food additive E420 (INS 420) in the European Union and in numerous other markets including Australia, Canada and Japan. Typical assay is 98.0% minimum with routine lots running above 99%, and moisture is controlled to 1.0% maximum so the powder stays free-flowing in bulk handling, pneumatic transfer and automatic dosing lines.

Confectionery. Used as a bulk sweetener and anti-crystallising agent in sugar-free chewing gum, chewy candy, hard candy, marshmallow and chocolate compound. It keeps the chew soft, controls graining and adds a cooling sensation.
Bakery and biscuits. Acts as a humectant that binds water in the crumb, slowing staling and keeping cakes, cookies, mooncakes and filled biscuits tender over a longer shelf life. It also limits surface drying and cracking.
Beverage and liquid preparations. Dissolves readily for use in flavoured drinks, syrups, concentrates and powdered beverage mixes, contributing body and mouthfeel with a clean sweetness profile.
Ice cream and frozen dessert. Lowers the freezing point and controls ice crystal growth, improving creaminess and resistance to heat shock in frozen dairy and plant-based desserts.
Oral care and personal care. A standard humectant and sweetener in toothpaste, mouthwash and dental gels. In skincare and personal care it functions as a humectant in lotions, creams and masks, drawing moisture into the formulation.
Pharmaceutical excipient. Used as a diluent, binder and sweetening vehicle in chewable tablets, wet granulation, direct compression and syrup formulations, manufactured to BP and USP monograph requirements.
Industrial. Serves as a starting material for polyurethane polyols and rigid foam systems, for surfactant intermediates including sorbitan esters, and for vitamin C synthesis.

Production runs from starch slurry through hydrogenation, purification, ion exchange, concentration, crystallisation, drying and sieving in a closed line. Each batch is tested against the full BP / USP / EP / FCC specification for assay, moisture, reducing sugar, heavy metals, lead, arsenic, nickel, chlorides, sulphates, particle size and microbiological load before release. Retention samples are kept from every lot, and third-party inspection can be arranged on request.
The plant operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 management systems with HACCP-based process control, and the product is certified Halal and Kosher. Documentation issued with each shipment includes the certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet and technical data sheet. Pre-shipment samples can be provided for your own laboratory qualification before you place a bulk order.

Store in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight, moisture sources and strong odours. Keep bags sealed when not in use, since sorbitol is hygroscopic and will pick up moisture from humid air. Recommended storage is below 25 °C and below 60% relative humidity. Under these conditions the product retains its specification for 2 years in unopened original packaging. Handle as a non-hazardous, non-flammable material; avoid generating dust during emptying and provide normal local exhaust ventilation at dosing
Own plant, closed-line production. We are a manufacturer, not a trader. Production runs in a closed line from starch slurry through catalytic hydrogenation, purification, ion exchange, concentration, crystallisation, drying and sieving — all under one roof. This means we control every process parameter that affects assay, moisture and particle size, rather than relying on third-party toll processing.
Capacity to scale with your orders. Supply ability of 1000 MT per month, with minimum order quantity from 100 kg. Whether you need a trial lot for laboratory qualification or full container loads on a recurring schedule, the same line and the same specification apply — no switching between production sources as volumes grow.
In-house QC on every batch. Each lot is tested against the full BP / USP / EP / FCC specification for assay, moisture, reducing sugar, heavy metals, lead, arsenic, nickel, chlorides, sulphates, particle size and microbiological load before release. Retention samples are kept from every lot, and third-party inspection can be arranged on request — so you can audit the plant and the batch records behind your material.
Certified management systems. The plant operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 management systems with HACCP-based process control. The product is certified Halal and Kosher, and documentation issued with each shipment includes the certificate of analysis, material safety data sheet and technical data sheet.
Control over the physical form. Standard particle size is 20–60 mesh, with other cuts available on request — because we control crystallisation, drying and sieving in-house, we can adjust the cut to suit your dosing, dissolution or mouthfeel requirements rather than forcing you to accept a single standard grade.
Stable, documented quality. Typical assay runs above 99% against a 98.0% minimum, and moisture is held around 0.4% against a 1.0% limit, keeping the powder free-flowing through pneumatic transfer, bulk handling and automatic dosing lines. Routine production values are issued per batch on the actual certificate of analysis supplied with each shipment.
Flexible packaging and loading. 25 kg kraft bag with PE inner liner as standard, 25 kg carton or customized packing on request. Bags are palletised and stretch-wrapped or loaded in full container loads according to quantity; private label bags and neutral packing without supplier marking are both available. Delivery is 7–10 working days after order confirmation, loading from Qingdao, with T/T, L/C, D/P, D/A and Western Union accepted.
Samples before you commit. Pre-shipment samples can be provided for your own laboratory qualification before you place a bulk order, so you can validate the material against your formulation and regulatory requirements first.
