Maltitol Syrup 80/55 is a clear, colorless viscous liquid with D-Maltitol (CAS 585-88-6). Our cosmetic grade maltitol syrup is a non-crystallizing sugar alcohol, widely used in personal care formulations. It works as humectant, mild sweetener and texture modifier. It helps retain moisture, improve skin feel and maintain stable viscosity in cosmetic and oral care products.
Our cosmetic grade maltitol syrup 80/55 is manufactured under strict quality control. Each batch is fully inspected before delivery. We can provide COA and MSDS for quality check and customs clearance. Key specifications: solid content 80%, minimum 55% D-maltitol on dry basis. It features low reactivity and excellent compatibility with most cosmetic raw materials. It will not crystallize within the finished formula.
In oral care products, maltitol syrup acts as humectant and gentle sweetener. It keeps toothpaste paste soft and prevents drying inside the tube. It delivers pleasant taste without promoting tooth decay. It is a reliable raw material for toothpaste and mouthwash.
In skincare applications, this non-crystallizing syrup functions as moisturizing agent. It locks hydration in creams, lotions, masks and body care products. It reduces stickiness and creates smooth texture. It stabilizes emulsion systems and extends formulation shelf stability.
We pack maltitol syrup cosmetic grade 80/55 in 250kg plastic drums. The drum is leak-proof and suitable for ocean transportation. Custom packaging can be discussed for large bulk orders. The shelf life is 24 months under proper storage. Please keep drums sealed in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight and high temperature.

Moisturising lotions and creams. Added at 3-8% in the water phase, the syrup improves the immediate and the lasting hydration reading without thickening the emulsion, and it reduces the white soapy rub-out that some anionic emulsifier pairs leave on the skin.
Facial gels and serums. In a cross-linked polyacrylic acid or xanthan gel, the syrup contributes a smooth, non-stringy glide and keeps the gel from drying at the air interface of an open jar. Its low colour keeps a clear gel genuinely clear.
Cleansers and body wash. Surfactant systems become harsh as the active matter rises. Blending this syrup into the base reduces the tight after-feel and helps the lather stay dense, without depressing foam volume the way a high oil load would.
Hair conditioners and masks. The syrup acts as a humectant on the fibre and improves wet combability, while its film is light enough not to weigh down fine hair at typical use levels.
Wet wipes and micellar waters. A low-irritant humectant is needed in a leave-on wipe liquid, and the syrup stays stable in the presence of mild preservative systems and mild acids used for pH adjustment.
Cosmetic grade release covers dry substance, water, pH, maltitol and sorbitol distribution, reducing sugars, ash, metals, microbiological counts, colour and odour. Colour is assessed on a diluted sample against a reference, and odour is checked by a trained panel on the neat syrup, since both carry straight through to a finished lotion.
Lot codes connect the drum to its evaporation run and to retained samples. If a batch of emulsion shows a change in viscosity or in skin feel, the syrup can be re-tested against its certificate before further drums are opened.
Packing is a 250kg lacquered steel drum with a food-grade liner and a gasketed clamp lid, hot-filled and sealed, or a 1000kg IBC with a bottom discharge valve. Drums are stacked four per pallet; 80 drums load a 20ft container and 18-20 IBCs fill a bulk load. Neutral or buyer-specific labelling is available for contract volumes.
Keep drums in a dry store at 18-30°C, out of sunlight and away from fragrance concentrates, which the syrup can absorb through the bung. Temper cold drums at 40-45°C and mix before use, and reseal immediately after drawing to prevent surface pickup of water. Store away from frost, since freezing can seed crystallisation. Sealed drums hold specification for 24 months.
