Maltitol Syrup is a clear, colorless viscous liquid with D-Maltitol (CAS 585-88-6), food grade with E965 certification. It is a low glycemic, non-crystallizing sugar alcohol. It acts as humectant and mild sweetener in food formulations. It helps retain moisture, maintain soft texture and will not easily crystallize in finished products. It is a perfect raw material for low glycemic food development.
Our food grade maltitol syrup is produced under strict food safety management. Each batch is fully tested before shipment. COA and MSDS can be provided for quality check and customs clearance. It has low glycemic index, low cariogenic property and good compatibility with most food ingredients. It keeps stable texture during processing and storage without grain precipitation.
For low glycemic food applications, this syrup is widely used for sugar-free and low glycemic finished foods. It offers gentle sweetness with less impact on blood sugar level. It helps food keep moisture and soft texture, prevents drying and crystallization.
It is also popular in confectionery, bakery and functional foods. It works well in sugar-free candies, pastilles, baked goods and nutraceuticals. It improves mouthfeel and extends shelf stability of food products.
We pack maltitol syrup food grade in 250kg plastic drums. The drum is leak-proof and suitable for ocean transportation. Custom packaging can be discussed for large bulk orders. The shelf life is 24 months under proper storage. Please keep drums sealed in cool, dry and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight and high temperature.

The certificate for each lot reports the grade figures and the release panel, and it governs the shipment.
Reduced-sugar confectionery. Boiled and chewy sweets built on this syrup cut the sugar load while keeping the sweetness and the mouthfeel of a full-sugar piece, which is where many reduced-sugar launches fail.
Cereal bars and baked snacks. The syrup binds the dry phase and holds moisture, so a bar stays chewy, while the sweetener contributes less to the glycaemic load than the glucose syrup it replaces.
Reduced-calorie beverages. At 3-6% solids the syrup provides body and a clean sweetness, allowing a lower total sugar figure without the watery texture of a purely high-intensity system.
Ice cream and frozen dessert. A polyol-sweetened mix delivers a slower glucose response than a sucrose mix and freezes to a firmer body, which suits products positioned on sugar reduction.
Nutrition and sports products. Where carbohydrate loading is being managed, the syrup lets a formulator keep bulk and sweetness in a bar or a gel while lowering the sugar number on the panel.

The release panel comprises dry substance, water, the maltitol and sorbitol fractions, pH, reducing sugars, conductivity ash, metals and microbiological counts. For low glycaemic work the maltitol fraction is the number that matters, so it is quantified by HPLC on every lot rather than inferred from the solids.
Lot codes link the drum to its evaporation run and to retained samples, so a customer auditing an ingredient declaration can trace the material back to a specific production record.
The syrup is filled hot into 250kg lacquered steel drums with a food-grade liner and a gasketed lid, or into 1000kg IBCs with a bottom valve. Drums are palletised four high and 80 fit a 20ft container; IBC loads are 18-20 units. Neutral or buyer-labelled packing is available for contract buyers.

Store at 15-30°C in a dry, covered area away from sunlight. The syrup thickens as it cools, so warm drums to 40°C and mix before decanting to ensure the solids are uniform. Keep containers sealed between draws, and do not store next to strong-smelling goods. Unopened containers hold their specification for 24 months.
