Construction Grade HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose) is a non‑ionic cellulose derived from refined cotton. Widely applied as thickener, water retention agent and workability improver in dry‑mix building industry.
Different from food & pharmaceutical grades, this series is specially formulated for cement and gypsum‑based building materials, balancing water‑holding capacity, slip resistance and construction operability for on‑site application.
Prevent rapid water loss during curing process. Sufficient hydration of cement and gypsum, reduce cracking, enhance final strength of mortar and putty.
Viscosity 100000‑200000 cps, customizable upon request. Good anti‑sagging performance, avoid sliding down for thick‑layer construction such as wall putty and tile adhesive.
Gel temperature at 58‑64℃. Soluble in cold water while insoluble in hot water. Bring longer open time, allow enough adjusting time for workers.
High compatibility with cement, gypsum, mineral fillers and other common dry‑mix additives. No adverse interference to other formula components.
Stable chemical property under normal cool and dry storage. Shelf life reaches 2 years with intact package.
