Maltitol Powder — Food Grade Crystalline Polyol, E965
Maltitol powder is a crystalline sugar alcohol produced by the catalytic hydrogenation of high-purity maltose, followed by purification, crystallisation, drying and milling. It delivers approximately 90% of the sweetness of sucrose with a clean, sugar-like taste and no cooling aftertaste, which makes it the polyol of choice where a full sugar-replacement profile is required rather than a partial one.
As a bulk sweetener it is non-cariogenic, has a low glycaemic response, and is highly soluble in water. In confectionery it contributes body, chew, gloss and shelf stability; in chocolate and compound coatings it carries the cocoa mass without the moisture pick-up associated with other bulk sweeteners; in bakery and dairy systems it acts as both sweetener and humectant, controlling water activity and retarding staling.
We are a manufacturer, not a trading company. Hydrogenation, ion-exchange purification, crystallisation, milling, sieving, metal detection and packing are carried out in our own plant, which is operated under ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 management systems and holds Halal and Kosher certification. Because every batch is produced on the same lines against the same specification, buyers receive consistent particle size, bulk density and sweetness from shipment to shipment — the variable that causes most reformulation problems when switching polyol suppliers.
Powder grades are available in standard and custom mesh sizes, in 25 kg kraft paper bags with PE inner liner, and under private label or OEM packing for distributors and brand owners.

Sugar-free hard candy and chewing gum. Maltitol provides the body, crunch and chew of a sucrose-based sweet, with sufficient solubility to run on existing depositing and rope-forming lines. Its low hygroscopicity keeps wrapped candy free-flowing in humid climates.
Chocolate and compound coatings. Maltitol's crystalline structure allows conching and tempering without the moisture migration that causes bloom and stickiness in coatings built on other polyols. It is used as the sole bulk sweetener or in combination with erythritol and inulin.
Bakery, biscuits and cereal bars. Acting as sweetener and humectant, maltitol holds moisture in the crumb, extends softness, and lowers water activity — useful in sugar-reduced and reduced-calorie bakery formulations.
Ice cream and frozen desserts. Maltitol depresses freezing point less aggressively than sucrose at equivalent sweetness, supporting scoopability and a creamy mouthfeel in no-sugar-added ice cream.
Dairy, beverages and nutraceuticals. Used in flavoured milk, plant-based drinks, powdered beverage mixes, protein and meal-replacement powders, and in direct-compression or chewable nutraceutical tablets where a sugar-free, tooth-friendly bulk sweetener is required.
Industrial and oral-care use. Toothpaste, mouthwash and confectionery coatings formulated without fermentable sugars.
We support application work with sample quantities, technical data sheets and formulation guidance for buyers moving from sucrose, glucose syrup or another polyol.

Raw material maltose is released only after identity, purity and microbiological screening. Hydrogenation and purification are monitored in process; every finished batch is tested in our own laboratory by HPLC for assay and by Karl Fischer for moisture before it is released to packing. Sieving and magnetic separation are installed on the milling line, and packed bags pass metal detection before palletising.
Each batch carries a unique batch number that links raw material receipt, process records and release testing to the finished bag, so a certificate can be traced back to the production run on request. Retained samples are held for the full shelf-life period and are available for third-party verification.
Management systems: ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. Product certification: Halal and Kosher. Documentation provided with each order includes the Certificate of Analysis, material safety data sheet, packing list, commercial invoice and certificate of origin; additional statements for specific market requirements can be prepared on request.

Powder is packed in 25 kg kraft paper bags with an internal PE liner. Bags are unprinted as standard, and printed or neutral bags for private label and OEM customers can be arranged. Inner liner and outer bag are both sealed; palletised or floor-loaded configurations are available depending on destination and freight mode.
Standard shipment documents travel with the goods, and shipping marks, labels and pallet specifications can be adapted to the buyer's warehouse or retail requirements. Bulk bag and small-pack formats are available for distributors who resell in repacked form.
Shipments are arranged from Qingdao. Loading plans and container quantities are confirmed per order according to grade, packing format and palletisation.

Store in the original sealed bag in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight, moisture and strongly odorous goods. Keep bags closed after partial use; the product is hygroscopic and will cake if exposed to humid air. Recommended storage temperature is below 25 °C with relative humidity below 65%.
Shelf life is 24 months from the production date when stored unopened under the conditions above. The product is not classified as dangerous goods and does not require special transport documentation. Under normal handling maltitol powder is not a skin or respiratory sensitiser, but dust generation during emptying should be controlled with local extraction and standard dust protection.
