Halal Kosher Maltitol Syrup E965 Non-Crystallizing Sweetener, 75/50 80/55 85/55, Sugar-Free Gummy and Bakery Filling, 275kg Drum
Maltitol Syrup Food Grade E965, 75/50 80/55 85/55 Non-Crystallizing Sugar Alcohol, 275kg Blue Drum Bulk Supply
Maltitol syrup is the form most sugar-free confectionery is actually built on. It stays liquid, so it can be pumped straight into a cooker or a mixer without a dissolving step, and — more importantly — it does not crystallize. That single property is what separates a clear, chewy sugar-free gummy from one that grains and goes grainy in the bag three weeks after production.
This grade is a hydrogenated starch hydrolysate syrup, E965, supplied at three ratios — 75/50, 80/55 and 85/55 — in a 275 kg drum. All three are non-crystallizing. The higher the ratio pair, the more maltitol you get per tonne and the firmer the set in the finished candy, which is why a gum or a hard candy usually runs the higher grade and a bakery filling or a beverage runs the lower one.
The material is colourless and close to water-clear, non-cariogenic, and has a lower glycemic response than sucrose, so it supports a sugar-free or reduced-sugar claim without the cooling hit that sorbitol gives.
For buyers shipping into the Middle East, North Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia or Turkey, this listing also carries Halal and Kosher certification — the two documents those purchasing teams ask for first.

On the ratio designation: the three grades differ in dry substance and in maltitol content on dry basis — that is what the two numbers refer to. Confirm the exact figures against your purchase specification before you set your formulation, since the same shorthand is sometimes used with a different basis in different markets.
Full analytical specification — dry substance, maltitol and sorbitol content, reducing sugars, ash, heavy metals and microbiological counts — is issued on the batch Certificate of Analysis. A sample COA and MSDS can be sent before your order.

Every shipment carries a batch-specific COA listing the measured result against the release limit for each parameter, so incoming inspection can be checked line by line.
Parameters reported on each COA:
Halal and Kosher certificate copies, including the issuing body, certificate number and validity dates, are provided on request so your compliance team can verify them with the certifier directly.
Sugar-free gummy and chewy candy. This is the main use. A gummy made only with crystalline maltitol grains within days; the syrup carries the humectancy and the non-crystallizing behaviour that keeps the piece clear, soft and stable on the shelf.
Hard candy. The higher grades set a firm, glassy candy without the graining defect that crystalline polyols cause. Often used as the base with a small amount of powder for texture.
Bakery filling, jam and coated bars. The syrup holds moisture in a filling so it does not dry out and crack inside the bake, and it lowers water activity without adding sugar.
Ice cream and frozen dessert. Lowers the freezing point and adds body; typical use is a few percent on mix weight, adjusted against overrun.
Chewing gum and pharmaceutical syrup. As a humectant-plasticiser in the gum base, and as a non-cariogenic base for sugar-free medicated syrups.
Typical inclusion, to be confirmed against your own trial data:
| Application | Typical syrup share | Note |
| Sugar-free gummy | 40 – 70 % of the sweetener system | Balance against gelatin or pectin set |
| Hard candy | 30 – 60 % | Higher grades give a firmer bite |
| Bakery filling / jam | 20 – 40 % | Watch water activity, not just sweetness |
| Ice cream | 3 – 8 % on mix | Adjust freezing point and overrun |
| Chewing gum base | 5 – 15 % | Plasticiser and humectant |

Each batch is released against the specification on its COA, with dry substance, maltitol content, reducing sugars and microbiological counts tested on every lot. For a syrup, dry substance is the parameter that moves first when something drifts — a batch arriving a point or two off shifts your candy's water balance and the set changes with it.
Retention samples are kept from each batch so a complaint can be traced back to the drum actually shipped, and the COA number on the drum label matches the certificate issued with the shipment.
Certifications carried:
| Certificate | Scope |
| ISO 9001 | Quality management system |
| ISO 22000 | Food safety management system |
| Halal | Product and process, issued by an accredited certification body |
| Kosher | Product and process, issued by an accredited certification body |

Drum handling notes worth planning for:
Warm before pumping in cold weather.
Do not overheat.
Reseal part-used drums.

Store sealed, above 5 °C and below about 35 °C, away from direct sun. Do not allow drums to freeze — freezing does not ruin the material, but it takes a long time to re-homogenise and the drum must be mixed before use.
Shelf life is 24 months in unopened drums under the conditions above.
Which ratio should we use — 75/50, 80/55 or 85/55? It depends on the product. Gummy and hard candy usually run the higher grade because you want more maltitol per tonne and less water to drive off; fillings, ice cream and beverages usually run the lower one. Tell us the application and we will confirm which of the three we recommend from current stock.
Why does the syrup not crystallize when the powder does? The syrup carries a distribution of higher polyols alongside maltitol, and that mixture suppresses crystal nucleation. It is the same reason a gummy stays clear while a piece built on crystalline maltitol grains.
Can we replace powder with syrup in an existing formula? Usually yes, but not kilo for kilo — the syrup brings water with it. Expect to adjust the cook time or the dry-substance target rather than simply swapping the weight.
Are the Halal and Kosher certificates product-specific? They cover the product and the process, not just the company. Copies with the issuing body, certificate number and validity dates are provided before an order.
Can you supply a sample before a container order? Yes. A sample and its COA are issued before the commercial order so your lab can run a trial batch first.

This page describes food-grade maltitol syrup to E965 in three ratios, for sugar-free food and pharmaceutical applications. It does not set maximum inclusion levels for any product category or market — those depend on your local regulation and your own trial work. We supply the material and its documentation; the formulation decision stays with your technical team.
