Sorbitol Powder (Crystalline D‑Glucitol, Food Additive E420) is a versatile polyol produced by catalytic hydrogenation of glucose from starch source, presented as free‑flowing white odourless crystalline powder. It delivers roughly 50‑60 % sweetness of sucrose, with distinctive refreshing cooling sensation upon dissolution, which is one of its most recognizable sensory features compared with maltitol and other sugar alcohols.
