Maltitol Syrup 75/50, also named Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate (HSH, E965), is a transparent, colourless viscous liquid. This food grade grade features 75% solid content and minimum 50% D-maltitol on dry basis. It serves as low-calorie sweetener and humectant specially formulated for beverage systems. It delivers mild, clean sweetness, improves mouthfeel and helps stabilise liquid beverage formulations.
Our food grade maltitol syrup 75/50 is produced under rigorous food safety control. Each batch is fully tested before delivery. COA and MSDS documents can be supplied for quality inspection and customs clearance. It shows good water solubility and excellent compatibility with most beverage ingredients. It has low tendency for crystallization and will not cause unwanted precipitation in ready-to-drink drinks.
For beverage production, this HSH maltitol syrup is an ideal choice for sugar-free and low-calorie drinks. It provides smooth sweetness without sharp aftertaste. It can adjust the body and viscosity of beverages, and will not trigger rapid sugar crystallization during storage. It is non-cariogenic, making it popular for functional drinks, syrups and oral liquid nutritional beverages.
Apart from beverage applications, it can also be used in sugar-free confectionery and functional foods. It retains moisture in candies and acts as taste masking agent for nutritional supplements.
This maltitol syrup 75/50 is packed in leak-proof 250kg plastic drums, suitable for long-distance ocean transportation. Custom packaging can be discussed for large bulk orders. When sealed and stored in cool, dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight and high temperature, shelf life is 24 months.

Carbonated soft drinks. Dosed into the syrup room ahead of the carbonator, the syrup lifts body and rounds the acid profile. Its colourless nature means a clear lemon-lime or a coloured cola base stays exactly as formulated, with no browning at the pasteuriser.
Still juice drinks and flavoured water. At 3-6% solids the syrup carries mouthfeel without pushing the drink into a heavy, syrupy texture, which is the usual complaint when sucrose is replaced by a high-intensity sweetener alone.
Concentrates and cordials. A 1+5 or 1+9 concentrate needs a sweetener that stays fluid at high solids and does not crystallise in the bottle neck. The non-crystallising polyol blend keeps the concentrate bright through storage and dilution.
Ready-to-drink tea and coffee. Here the syrup is chosen for what it does not add: no cereal note, no colour, and no haze in a clarified brew. It sweetens without flattening the aroma of a tea base.
Sports and functional drinks. Electrolyte systems are formulated at low pH with mineral salts, and the syrup remains stable in that environment while contributing a mild sweetness that does not mask the salt profile.

Incoming high maltose syrup is checked for dextrose equivalent and colour, then hydrogenated, deionised and evaporated. At the filling head, clarity is inspected against a light box, dry substance is read on a refractometer, and maltitol and sorbitol are quantified by HPLC. Water by Karl Fischer and pH on a 50% solution complete the release panel, along with metals and plate counts.
Beverage plants run continuous processes, so lot codes link the drum to its evaporation run and retained samples are kept. If a filler run shows a sweetness drift, the retained sample allows the syrup to be checked against the certificate without opening a new drum.
The syrup ships in 250kg lacquered steel drums with a food-grade liner, hot-filled and closed with a gasketed clamp lid, or in 1000kg IBCs fitted with a bottom valve for direct connection to a transfer pump. Drums load four per pallet and 80 to a 20ft container; an IBC load is 18-20 units. Neutral or buyer-labelled packing is available for bulk orders.

Store in a covered, dry area between 15 and 30°C, away from sunlight and from cleaning chemicals that could taint the product through the bung. Chill makes the syrup viscous and can start crystallisation, so temper cold drums at 40-45°C and mix before transfer. Keep containers sealed between draws and rinse transfer lines with potable water after use. In unopened packaging the syrup holds specification for 24 months.
